Hawks return solid nucleus and talented recruiting class

Despite losing D III Player of the Year Chris Davis, Alex Edmunds, and Lucas Burns to graduation the cupboard won’t be empty for Pat Miler and the Warhawks this season.  Alex Merg, Cody Odegaard, Eric Bryson and Quardell Young give UW-W a deep and versatile backcourt that can play with anyone. Luke Knoble returns at one forward spot. Charlie Fischer and Steve Egan will contend for time. Justin Scanlan, 6-7, who was adapting to the college game last year when he went down with an injury, will help in the middle. As always wlth a sport where one player is 20% of the starters, and most teams only go eight~nine deep, newcomers can make a huge impact. Four of Miller's newcomers already have college basketball experience
